As promised , here is the highly amusing article from STARLOG 37.
Sam Maronie interviewed many actors for the magazine and this recounts some memorable anecdotes about those encounters.
First of all, here he is with Roddy McDowall in full ape make up:
Next up is the infamous tea / coffee spillage with the late Tim O Connor:
And lastly, interviewing Max Schell in his bathrobe and getting clonked by Chuck Heston's elbow.
Ouch !

WELL I NEVER DID
Made a few new discoveries over the weekend and I wanted to share them here.
First up, who remembers MONKEY ! from the early 1980s ?
If ever there was a tv show with ' cult ' written all over it, this was the one. Utterly bonkers and an absolute hoot from start to finish.
But how many of you know that a new rebooted version has just been made ?
I sure as hell didn't until I read this piece in the mirror tv mag last Saturday :
Good luck with that one !
Secondly, I was fortunate enough to pick up an issue of FILMFAX in FP last week. I didn't even know the magazine was still in print. Here is the cover of issue 151 :
I also was unaware that the same publisher brought out FANTASTIC FILMS back in the 1980s as seen in this back issue ad page :
A closer look at those pages reveals that the title changed to FILMFAX PLUS after issue 100.

TIM O CONNOR IN STARLOG
So farewell to another television stalwart, Tim O Connor who has passed away at he age of 90.
One of the most recognisable faces on the box, at one point he seemed to guest star in every tv show being produced.
To sci-fi fans, he will be best remembered as Dr Huer in season 1 of BUCK ROGERS.
He also made guest appearances in the OUTER LIMITS and STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION.
I've posted his interview from STARLOG 38. As with so many of these articles, the benefit of hindsight reveals that the late actor was being overly optimistic about the future of the show and his own involvement with it.
O Connor was subsequently dropped from the cast and the show received a disastrous reboot for season 2.
Apologies for the tinted pages but STARLOG was going through their yellow phase at that time which meant all of their tv guides were printed on yellow paper.
I also seem to recall a STARLOG article by Sam Maronie in which he revealed that hot coffee was accidentally splashed on O Connor during the course of this interview !
If I ever come across it, I'll post some scans here.
