One of the most recognisable faces on the box, at one point he seemed to guest star in every tv show being produced.
To sci-fi fans, he will be best remembered as Dr Huer in season 1 of BUCK ROGERS.
He also made guest appearances in the OUTER LIMITS and STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION.
I've posted his interview from STARLOG 38. As with so many of these articles, the benefit of hindsight reveals that the late actor was being overly optimistic about the future of the show and his own involvement with it.
O Connor was subsequently dropped from the cast and the show received a disastrous reboot for season 2.
Apologies for the tinted pages but STARLOG was going through their yellow phase at that time which meant all of their tv guides were printed on yellow paper.
I also seem to recall a STARLOG article by Sam Maronie in which he revealed that hot coffee was accidentally splashed on O Connor during the course of this interview !
