THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES IN FUTURE MAGAZINE

For such a  prestige ,  high profile show,    THE    MARTIAN    CHRONICLES   received very little coverage  in  genre  magazines  of  that  time. 




One of the earliest  articles  can  be  seen  here  in    FUTURE  ,  a  spin - off   title from the publishers of  STARLOG .

Its clear from reading this that further script changes were made before the show was broadcast.


And despite what  this article states,  the Martian  mask  concept  was actually used,   in fact its one of the most striking and memorable aspects of the entire show.




Methinks  Matheson was being  overly premature in thinking that  Bradbury would be happy  with the adaptation.    In fact,  he would  subsequently  dump on the mini-series  whenever the opportunity arose.
